I haven't bought a shirt since Nike started churning out these advertisement abominations, but if they get their act together I could be tempted, not that I think they will.

The last one I bought was a bright yellow one with Sandtex as the sponsors.

When I started going in 1969, I assumed this had always been our kit.
Bit peeved when we messed around with all white and all blue, but rather keep the stripes now.

Absolutely. I haven't bought the Nike home shirts due to the fact that they've just sewn the front of a striped shirt to the back of a plain one with the obvious result of it looking rubbish.
It does raise the question that if they can't or won't do a proper striped shirt is it better to have no stripes at all?

Dull, dull, dull. From a distance of less than a yard they look like P*rtsm**uth, from more than a yard like any boring plain blue or white shirt. Stripes. Proper stripes. End of.

Exactly, hence my line at the bottom of my page. Really annoyed when we went to stripes away from our traditional Sheff Wed type shirts. Yes, I know better now and it must always be stripes, for me.
