As far as the last labour government were concerned, everything was pretty much on track until the global recession. The National Debt had been reduced unemployment was down, there was investment in the infrastructure of education etc. Your criticism of Labour MPs lack of work experience is pretty much the same as the Tories.

The worrying thing is that millions of people would probably believe that ridiculous statement when even 5 seconds of googling would show how completely, 180 degrees incorrect, it is. Just for those who can't waste five seconds of their own time:

those that committed the country to that course of spending in the first place. only half the debt is in reaction to post 2008 crisis, the structural debt as a result of projected spending plans was already clearly upward
