Hearts 10-0 up with 20 mins to go, can't think of the last time I saw a team score more than that

I used to work in Scotland a lot with the mother of the lad (Milne) who was subbed on at 70 minutes when they were 9-0 down. I have a lot of time for the blue Brazil and liked to go and watch them when I could. They are normally quite competitive.

can just see the managers words as he was subbed on, don't let them score 20.

In England the 87/88 season saw Gillingham beat Chesterfield 10-0 in div 3 in September and in the same season Man city beat Huddersfield 10-1 in November.

North of the border last time out was 2013/14 season when Hamilton beat Morton 10-2

Special mention to Darwen former members of the football league who lost 3 games 10-0 back in the 1898/99 season. They also lost a game 12-0 in 1896

I have a feeling Gillingham also beat someone 8-1 a week before they scored ten too.

Don't know about that one but I'd forgotten about these two crushings until I read about them on the BBC ( the Man City one shows how quickly things can change in football ) :

Manchester United 9-0 Ipswich Town (Premier League, 1995)
Middlesbrough 8-1 Manchester City (Premier League, 2008)

most I've actually seen by one team is 8 (don't think I need to expand on that)

seen Brighton score 7 on 3 different occasions Hillingdon,York & Walsall

missed the Charlton game and I expect a few on here were up at Chester that time

recall West Ham knocking 10 past Bury in the League Cup one year

didn't realise Bournemouth's 11 against Margate (MaDougall got 9 of them I think) was the same day we beat Hillingdon 7-1 and Southampton lost 8-0 at Everton

Circa 1960...Tottenham 13 Crewe 2 ( FAC 4th round replay ).
When Crewe left home, their train departed from platform two and on the return journey, they left Euston on platform thirteen!

Don't forget Albion's first ever game in the old Division 2. Middlesborough 9 (Brian Clough 5) - Brighton & Hove Albion 0.

Biggest win in the football league is 13-0 achieved by two teams.

Stockport beating Hailfax 13-0 in a 3rd Div North fixture in 1934
Newcastle beating Newport 13-0 in a div 2 game in 1946

Highest scoring came saw 17 goals shared between Tranmere and Oldham in 1935. Final score being Tranmere 13 Oldham 4
