Mod changing thread titles ?

yeah, I know... From what I've seen, NSC has a tradition of changing the thread title routinely on transfer-related threads as news develops (presumably to try to prevent a new thread being started as each tiny development gets reported). It was in that spirit that I changed the title of this thread. However, this being NSC, it's quite likely that someone will be upset - though I doubt it'll be the OP, who seems to have gone remarkably quiet on young Ward's signing....

Will the Ulloa deal effect whatever is holding this one up? (I assume money).

On the face of it, it would seem to strengthen SW's agent hand.
I imagine they'll be plenty of *cough*bullshit*cough* the next time the Albion plead poverty.

Kenny Jackett is hoping that some scouts will be there to look at Ward, O'Hara, et al.

“I don’t know how many scouts are planning to go to the game, but I’m sure it will be well covered because our Under-21s games usually are.

“You become aware who’s planning to come but it’s like any industry, you do get to know people and who’s there and who’s not.”

Dragging on too long now. I suspect we'll start looking at other left backs. Even if Chicksen becomes 1st choice, we'll still need specialist backup.

Roger Johnson is injured but Jamie O’Hara, Stephen Ward, Kevin Doyle, Tongo Doumbia, Razak Boukari and Georg Margreitter have all been pencilled in to play at AFC Telford United this evening (7.45pm).

Their appearance will mean around £17m worth of talent will be on view at the New Bucks Head, a group that is currently draining around £130,000-a-week from the Molineux coffers, while an 18-man first-team squad travel to Peterborough.

Wolves can't keep that going for too much longer surely?

Hope we have started and are nearing completion really , we've needed a lb for 10 weeks .
With just over 2.5 weeks to go I really hope something is imminent .

Was hoping the ulloa sale may of given green light for a flurry of signings ( including ward ) yesterday

I was worried that the Ulloa sale might slow things down. A classic case of other clubs knowing we have money to spend, so raising their prices.

I would have thought we would have tried to sign Ward, seems more and more unlikely as time goes on... cue he signs today/tomorrow. He seemed to enjoy his time here and I am surprised he hasnt signed, I guess its the reported 13k a week that is the stumbling block.

Not to dis similar to last season where we lost Bridge and we were frustated all summer for a LB.

Started the season with Maxi who had a shocker then signed a loan.

Can see a similar thing happening with Chickson / loan being signed

It doesn't matter how many scouts turn up if the agents of players they're watching wont concede on wage demands.
