Think people are reading too much into it
The only reference is :
.....Lewis Dunk and Jose Izquierdo were not in the squad flying out to Southern France this afternoon. Dunk has been rested after plenty of pre-season minutes
Which I think makes sense - the other CB (including the utility CB) have not had anywhere near as much time so they need to play. If Dunk isn't playing on Friday I'll be far more worried - would expect the starting XI then to be more or less what'll start at Watford.
