Having extolled the virtues of socialism all her life, her little darling went to a private school, as she did not want him with all those working class children at the local comp -they might use nasty words and like football. My guess is that you have a personal dislike because he believed British troops in NI was making the situation worse.

He doesn't once in that article condemn the IRA.

I really can't believe what I'm reading from you and Midnight Rendezvous. You're both absolutely feeble not to mention gutless in MR's case. You'd both have had so much more respect from me if you just accepted the damning evidence, admitted you were wrong about him with his sucking up to the IRA, and admitted that you're prepared to forgive him that for what you consider the greater good.
While that may result in having your respect, something I neither need nor want, it would result in loss of respect for myself.
Just as MR said: My self worth isn't dependant on what someone I don't know, on the internet, thinks of me.

Equally it's really no concern of mine what you do or don't do, or what you think, but to me you come across as a pompous oafish VI former with his fingers in his ears. Your unwillingness to engage in debate is purely down to the fact that you've lost, not because of self respect. If you had self respect, you'd see it for what it is. You can't, you're not intelligent, I get that though. You're best ignored.

I don't have a side. As far as I'm concerned, Corbyn's links to the IRA are not what makes him unelectable to me. (I think there are plenty of other reasons). But my point is that to some, especially [MENTION=31796]alfredmizen[/MENTION] and [MENTION=5200]Buzzer[/MENTION], his credentials fall down right there before you even begin to dissect his politics that are IMO more relevant to the modern world, and what I can't abide is that these two have put forward evidence that he was far too cosy with people who sanctioned bombing innocent people, yet some people have point-blank refused to acknowledge this without even bothering to provide counter evidence - which IMO is disrespectful if you are loudly engaging in debate on this thread.

By saying that AM is wrong with that article, you are saying that the broadcaster Stephen Nolan is also wrong. Just to put that in perspective, he's a record-award winning Northern Irish presenter, he's also won broadcaster of the year and is something of an institution, one of those rare people who is highly respected by all sides in NI.
And your argument hinges on an article from Putin's official state mouthpiece, Russia Today which has no journalistic credibility and also fails to mention the links between the IRA and the former Soviet bloc which might also explain the mischievous slant that RT put on this topic. we have moved on since the dark days of the troubles, when both sides committed atrocities. I am not sure it is relevant any more what Corbyns motives were and what he thought or didn't say. And it was a complex area. For me his current policies and leadership qualities are enough to make me shudder
I think his second in command is just as worrying.
I wonder how many Tories joined the Labour party to get Corbyn elected again...... great plan and job done.
