Yes, you can grow any number of crops out of season by using a heated and lit glasshouse. Unfortunately there is a commensurate increase in price thanks to the costs of this heating and lighting. This type of growing comes in to its own at the start of a season when a grower who can produce the first British strawberries of the year can command a good price that covers his costs and some. So, we can be more self sufficient but at a price that many of us won't pay.

The U.K. Is apparently 85% self sufficient in food production this excludes anything we cannot grow or produce such as Bananas or Tuna
79% of the food and drink we import comes from the EU
11% is from countries granted Most Favoured Nation status, such as the USA, China, Brazil and Australia.
9% comes from bilateral agreements with countries such as Canada, Norway and Chile.

Assuming the worst a hard Brexit the UK would be completly self sufficient in some produce such as carrots and eggs but not in all such as pork or beef so some shortages are likley and some cost increases inevitable.

Protein from Animals will be more expensive as it takes on average for beef for example 3 years from conception to plate as such we will have a shortfall for some years, so more vegetable based meals are likley and they will include more UK products such as potatoes, carrots, barley, turnips, swede, beetroot, onions so looking at recipes from Soviet Russia or post war Britain might be worth while

Yes it's no coincidence that the healthiest generation is that which was bourn during rationing and as the NHS is the second biggest spend placed upon the tax payers it may help the NHS budgets

As always for those who can afford it will still be able to purchase what ever they want but it's fair to assume that the years of year round cheap availability of all sorts of products would be over (this is assuming a hard Brexit)
