Just dug these out of the box in the loft and may as well share the two of them in here
I actually got on the pitch after the game as one of the Stewards was an Albion fan and he escorted up to Steve Gritt as he was being interviewed, took the photo then he escorted me back to the away end

I remember every second of that day as if it were yesterday. The drive there, the day there and the drive back - all vivid memories. About the only thing I can't remember was where I parked the car!

Steve Gritt looks like he's just got back from the Hacienda

Too late now. I wonder what happened to it?

That's going to be the mother of all tickets.

Same here, only it was a life saver that we remembered where our car was parked. Four of us, all shirted up respectfully making our way back to said car when we heard a cacophony of grunting noises. These happened to be emanating from a group of about fifteen upset Hereford fans. I don't like to run, as it gives our fans a bad press, but on this occasion, as the four of us wouldn't have made one good one, we ran as fast as we could. As we turned around the corner in to the car park, it was replica shirts off, and stuffed up tee-shirts. We slowed down to a walk and started whistling innocently. The Rock-Apes in pursuit appeared from around the corner and carried on running still looking for their pray. After they were a safe distance away, we got in the car and drove out of the car park. We saw a Brighton fan running for his life too, so stopped the car, dragged him in, and took him to the station. All in all, it ended very well.

Possibly my favourite single moment bar none. Almost a black hole of happiness. A moment of joy so dense nothing could escape it. Just for those few seconds after the equaliser the world was a perfect place.

Thirty seconds later I was shitting bricks again but hey!

Think we all went through every emotion possible that day. Up and down, then up again.
And oh, the relief when that final whistle blew!

I wonder what happened to the blow-up doll being passed around (during the game, I might add).

I can still recall the extremes I felt that moment when a Hereford player had a run at Omerod with just him to beat but then thankfully shot tamely at him.

Dived into a cafe to avoid a similar bunch of friendlies! In fairness the owners said you'd better stay in here for a moment until it blows over so at least some weren't bad.

It was never in doubt :moo:

Ok, it was. The best football experience to date, extreme lows and extreme highs. And i rembered where the car was parked so that was good

One of the moments of my life where it seemed to be in agonising slow motion. I was desperate absolutely desperate to the point of being in pain for the ref to blow his whistle for FT. It was an excruciating wait. Extraordinary day.

Tony Agana, I think. He had a decent scoring record and, despite being five years past his best, was probably too good for division three. I remember feeling absolutely certain he would score and amazed when he didn't. We were as porous as clingfilm away from home that season.

I'm standing very close to you as you took the second picture, but annoyingly I'm out of picture! For some reason, I wore a New York Cosmos football shirt that day (bright green Pele era) so easy to spot in the crowd!

What a day, so many mixed emotions.

Carrying on the theme of walking into a possible warzone, remember the group of us (12) walking back to the minibus parked at the cattle market - coming from the other end first were some young teenage lads (spotters) and then a sizeable group of Hereford lads most definitely 'up for it' We slowed slightly, but then from behind us a large group of Albion lads thundered past and cue the scraps!!!
