Meopham, Kent.
Tch, looks like they will escape with a draw now doesn't it. Oh well, the chance of the whitewash is gone.

God this is dull cricket. The pitch is so benign I think even I could bat on it. Lords groundsmen have a lot to answer for.

That would be more interesting for me, as well. Had to start on the beer early.

Where was our big advantage after the Cardiff test?

A. Our bowling attack.

What do we do with our momentum going into the 2nd test?

A. Prepare a flat lifeless wicket.

Idiots*.

*granted the preparation for this pitch would have started before the first test, but still, they've had 4 or 5 days to get some life in this pudding.

Thank God Anderson took that catch. I would start getting worried otherwise. 9 wickets by lunch tomorrow and we will be looking at a first innings lead of 200+.

Hope the beer was better than the cricket. It will need a reverse of Adelaide 2006 for England to win this one.

It says something about the readership of the Telegraph that, according to the online poll, more people think an England win is more likely than an Australian one or a draw. I suggest you have to a brain well-pickled in port to think that

Difficult not to see a comfortable Aussie win here. A good toss for them. As flat as the pitch is, it will break up by the fourth day, regardless. Lyon will be a handful.

A draw here and we're only 3 draws away from winning back The Ashes

I noticed the groundsman at Lord's is very aptly named. You will have to search as the Mods will move my post if I put it on here.
