I know he was much younger then, but he couldn't cope in Manchester, out of his South London bubble. I really can't see him agreeing to move abroad. Dortmund surely a non starter.

This.

Moving to another city was too much for him. Moving to another country ? Forget it. Going by his Twitter the bloke is hardly Archimedes, and by all accounts he's something of an introvert off the pitch. He's very much in his comfort zone at CPFC2010. Worshipped by the fans, he can do no wrong there. If he moves anywhere he's going to have to prove himself all over again to a new set of fans, who won't be permanently brown-nosing him regardless of fitness or form.

I stand to be corrected, but he will stay at Palace for the foreseeable. They're showering him in cash, and he just doesn't have the ambition (as proved by his decision to turn out for Ivory Coast instead of England). He is their Le Tissier.

Probably right. He couldn't even handle having the piss taken out of him by a cuddly hornet, the poor dear.

"What people seem to forget with Wilf is he has got a four-year contract. There is speculation every year around Messi and Ronaldo too. He is our player for the next four years and the club has got no interest or desire to sell him."

That would be the Ronaldo that Real Madrid just sold then. Reassuring analogy for Palace fans there, Roy

Zaha is still wanting a move, and talks with Palace have been ‘shelved’.

Looks like he’s going, Spurs, Everton ,or Dortmund.

Oh bananas...

All wrong all of you.

He is disillusioned with football and is setting up a business breeding Llamas in Sanderstead.

Zaha to Spurs would be my guess, he won't move outside of London so the only other club is Chelsea. He said he likes the fans down South so can't understand why he didn't get on at United?

There's not a hope in hell of Everton signing him. They simply can't afford him. If Everton spend £60m+ on a player and then pay him >£120k per week then football is well and truly dead. Wilf will believe himself ready for Champions League football and likely won't bother signing for Everton who are likely to finish in a similar position to us anyway.

Dortmund or Spurs are possibilties but Levy isn't going to like the asking price, and Dortmund don't have PL money to splash around.

Aside from that, isn't it quite breathtaking how they casually drop Wilfs name in alongside Messi and Ronaldo. And they call US delusional. :lolol:

Mind you, they were regularly insisting to anyone that would listen that Jonny Williams was better than Zidane, so its par for the course with the goonsquad.

Yeah, Everton paying a load of money for a player would be the death of football. Forget the billionaire owner and all of that, it's a sad state of affairs.

Whereas a club that went into admin six years prior (for the second time in just more than a decade) spending £30 million on some shit striker and continuing to pay him more than £120k a week is fine.

Even though Everton's Transfer record is £45m (so not that far off already), and are already playing 5 players over £100k pw (used to be 6 until Rooney left so have space to play with) blows half your argument out of the water.

I do believe he will want to test himself in Europe again though, but can easily see Everton challenging for a Europa place next season (unlike Palace), so will not finish in a similar position.

So you’re predicting Everton to be relegated along with you this season
