Mine is high up, as the boiler is in the loft
It's at the very top of this massive icicle under the overhang for the roof. Because of it's location I couldn't pour a kettle on it (I tried and just got covered in boiling water, which froze instantly on my ski jacket).
I ended up using a heat gun with an extension lead out of the nearby window.

Getting steadily heavier actually! Looking at the radar, things are popping up out at sea. In Seaford now and decent snow shower ATM

Heating packed in over-night.
Obvious mass fan heater panic - all the shops have sold out
Found some in Wandsworth B&Q a couple of trains away. They had a pile ready ("those will be gone by this afternoon mate")
Randomly a bloke in the car park (who saw heaters) told me to run a kettle and pour water over the joint where the condenser leaves the house.
Heating now back on.
