Surely it would have been a greater conflict of interest had he not done any sabre rattling? Further sanctions will most likely depress the share price of the bank. The shares don’t seem to be owned by him personally but by a fund run by his company - I think this has been covered previously in this thread.

Pretty despicable behaviour by any measure and has been rightly decried from both ends of the political spectrum.

I invite those who think he does deserve it, and that his kids are collateral damage to step forward.

Harsh to suggest that there are people on here who would consider that is a reasonable way to behave. We all have our ideas of what democracy means, but I don't think anyone seriously believes the kids of politicians are fair game for collateral damage.
