When has sustainability ever been important to Palace? If it all goes tits up, they'll do what they always do...

Would you say £38m and £25m losses are sustainable? Your last two sets of accounts.

You lot seem to forget that you have had £300m pumped into your club to elevate you way above your traditional level of 3rd tier football. But that's all fair!!...You love to talk about other clubs overspending but seem to ignore the fact the magic midgets millions have bought your current position.

Again, not having a stadium to play in kind of changes things with this ‘£300mil’ you talk of. And you know losses in the championship are inevitable for a club going places. We haven’t broken any rules and your jealousy is astounding - have you broken any in the last few decades?

Yes. And at least one of your goldfish memory fans has had it pointed out that these losses were in the Championship, and the root cause has been sorted

There is a reason that the FA have introduced the 'Profit and Sustainability' rules. They specifically allow for investment in the infrastructure of the club, as this contributes to the long-term sustainability of a football club. What Brighton and Hove Albion have done isn't just about abiding by the letter of the law; it actually speaks to the very spirit of the rules themselves. Can Palace say the same?

Can you tell me how much the Fab Four and the new Yankee owners have invested in your club. Also who is going to pay for the new stand, if the London Mayor ever gives his approval

Those figures include promotion bonuses (throughout the club not just the players), permitted losses through infrastructure, academy costs and depreciation on a fairly new stadium. Hence why we have remained comfortably within FFP limits.

Our expenditure on players, both in fees and wages was fairly modest for the Championship so your claim we have 'bought' our current position is comical.

It's easy for the ignorant to assume that TB has invested his millions to secure immediate success. Unfortunately for you, his millions have actually been spent towards longevity, so you might have to be dealing with our 'elevated' status for some time.

There's no way a Palace fan is going to grasp this

I can't see that any of the palace goons that spend most of their lives on our forum have answered this very important point.

Well????

We bought our way to The Championship while we were at Withdean as well, did we?

We got to the PL by spending within the rules, not by cheating the system like you. Admin 1(cough) admin 2 (cough cough).

'Traditional' level? If you go back a couple of generations to the start of the 60's, we've actually spent more time in the top two tiers than the 3rd.

'Traditionally' we won a national trophy which effectively made us Champions of All England. You have not. Or is that too 'traditional' for you?

Administration has twice lifted Palace way above their traditional level of liquidation.

In an attempt to bring the thread back on topic, is that the same trophy that Zaha, who has, according to this thread, won nothing of any worth so far in his career, actually has a winners medal for?

:)
