It was only a friendly but I thought the biggest difference with Knocky last night was that he was much more direct - running at his defender and playing on the wing rather than drifting inside. This gave us a much better shape and left more space for Gross, Propper and Stephens to work in.

Given the fees paid for Jose and Ali he must realise his place is under threat but has responded well so far.
