With no bids, surely palace are in the driving seat with regard his wages and contract but I bet they won't even think about that and willl give him another wage rise and contract for his loyalty! [emoji848]

It's clear that Zaha loves Palace. He could easily have tried to force a move several times in the last few transfer windows, but he hasn't. I'm sure he'd have taken the chance to play Champions League football if Palace agreed to sell him, but we didn't. That doesn't mean that he's upset or frustrated or unhappy at Palace. He knows full well that if he continues his current run of form that Palace simply won't be able to refuse the amount of money that'll be on the table this time next year.

You've got to feel for all those players who thought they finally had a chance of snatching the oh-so-coveted "Best player outside the top 6" title that Wilf has kept such a firm grip on.

And now they think he's worth more! I understand that Palace as a club, from chairman to fans, find it very difficult to grasp anything to do with finances, but this one is very simple.£75m?
An asset is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it. No club will pay Palace's valuation of him. So he's not worth that much.
There's a bloke round the corner from us who's had his house on the market for two years at £250k. It's not worth that. So while all the other houses on his road sell after about two weeks, his is still for sale.
Palace don't want to sell Zaha which is why they've put such a ridiculous valuation on him. That doesn't mean that's what he's worth (to anyone but them, like the bloke with the house).
That's fair enough but the goon squad use this fact to say he's worth a fortune when he's clearly not, as nobody wanted to buy him at that inflated price.

Palace just include the amount they would have to give to United on top into their valuation.
Thus guaranteeing that no-one will ever come close.
It's a shame that they are prepared to stand in the way of his progression.

If he absolutely DID want to sell it, at any cost, and your fiver was the only offer, then yes.
Clearly he wouldn't want to sell it for that though, so it remains unsold.

Clubs rate him at 'a fiver' (or more likely 6 million fivers) and Palace are not prepared to sell for that, but like it or not, to the available market, that IS his worth.

His stock will rise steadily this coming season, so it really is win win.
I still think he’ll go at the end of the season, for how much ? Who knows.
With Richarlison’s move setting the benchmark, we’re looking at £60/70 mill for one of Europe’s most exciting attackers.
I understand the poo pooing from this board, but there is no denying his talent.
