Who played football for Scotland, and captained England at cricket?

Dennis Law and Mike Gatting
My favourite is the old "Who captained England whilst playing in the old 4th Division?" Old ones are the best.

Back to the Thunderbirds question - we had this and there was a supplementary bonus question.

Why were these five names chosen?

Just to remind you they were Scott, Virgil, Alan, Gordon & John...

Bombs and Barnes Wallis?

Is the right answer, the only team at the quiz to get it right had an RAF Bomber Command veteran on board so to speak.

Upkeep was the Bouncing Bomb used in the Dams Raid

Tallboy was a 12,000 pounder and did for the Tirpitz amongst other targets

Grand Slam was 22,000 pounds and actually larger than the current US MOAB!
