You may be right (and I hope you are) about May going this year though I think it more likely that the ERG will decide to get past March 29 before moving in. We'll see. If you're right and a No Deal becomes likely under the new PM then the government will have to consider how to avoid chaos at the ports. The only way I can think of is for tariffs to be withdrawn for imports from the EU. Personally I can't see how that can work but I'd like to know the Brexiteer view.

I’m not quite sure what your unhealthy obsession with immigration is all about?
I certainly didn’t march up to the voting booth, I took a leisurely stroll after work and cast my vote, I made sure before hand that I had digested all information, from both sides of the debate and decided I would like to leave the EU. I have said on numerous occasions that immigration has been wonderful for this country but I prefer to be able to welcome the brightest most productive talent from around the world,I disagree with the way the EU had had a say on who we can allow (predominantly white European)in.

While I voted remain and see a no deal Brexit as a potentially massive problem for Dover, Northern Ireland and trade and travel in general (with various possible economic consequences) one thing I do respect (but disagree with) is the Das Reich position that a no-deal brexit does not need to be justified because it is brexit and that's all that matters - a bit like the desire for a divorce at any price by someone suffering domestic abuse (albeit he doesn't have the language skills to express himself that eloquently). What beats me though is the folk who say a no deal Brexit is fine because it will give us lots of advantages without pain, and then when qustioned fail to explain how any of this will be achieved; as noted above by my fellow remainers. If you simply don't care what happens after Brexit then why not just say so? Its silly to pretend it will all be lovely when you have absolutely no clue
And the correct rebuttal to that isn't 'you don't have a clue either' - that's like saying to the bloke telling you not to drive your car when pissed because you might crash 'you don't know whether I'll survive or crash either'. You can only mount that argument if you know there is no risk. Anyway its worth keeping this thread rolling even if we keep going through the same 'motions'....it has almost become a potential resource for sociology/history/politics students, going forward. I wonder what they will make of us all
I see you as a fair and non-discriminatory person, do you therefore agree we should be unwelcoming to the lesser bright and lesser productive Brits? Where should we send them?

How about we send (encourage) them back into education, or send them towards apprenticeships or send them into retraining. No one you have mentioned should be a lost cause to give up on. Successive governments over decades have just abandoned those at the bottom of the pile in favour of the easier option of cheap labour from abroad.No wonder they feel abandoned when so called " socialists" like you are the latest to turn your snooty middle class noses up at them.
