Joe Gomez -Still our #1 LB/Defensive target. Hughton has even gone on record to confirm which HARDLY EVER HAPPENS. "We've registered our interest and i'd like think we're in the running" says CH.Consensus is that Klopp wants another look pre-season before letting him go so patience. 8/10

Markus Suttner - No update from last weeks " Keen and reports indicate he (and agent) wants to come to the hallowed Prem League but the Germans are trying to force up the price so no deal yet and i guess dependent on Gomez chats. - 8/10

Dennis Aogo No update from last weeks "there was a v rare tweet from Bozza; "could be the answer" he said about the Schalke LB. Albion fan/Bundesliga journo definitely not a fan. Jonathan Harding countered - "he's not" he insisted. Kite flying from the NSC supremo ? but then he's usually on the money." 8/10 (but they can't all come)
Kieran Gibbs This still knocking around. One wise NSC contributor said he would totally upend our wage structure if he came close. So perhaps a very long shot. 2/10.

Martin Braithwaite Sounds like a Last of the Summer Wine character. But he's actually another Dane. Playing in France. Tabloid paper talk so far. Price being hinted at > £10m as per. 3/10

Ex Chelsea/Terriers loanee. Could we actually steal a march on that Huddersfield for once ? . "Expected" is the phrase of all of the journalists (Standard, Argus, Mail) reporting this but so far nothing confirmed. 9/10

Thomas Delaney Danish , Werder Bremen CM. Apparently we're Ready to "SMASH OUR TRANSFER RECORD". Last friday anyway. Some solid reports confirming interest but all quiet since then. Sounds like this will run and run until a price is agreed. 7/10

Loftus Cheek Do Chelsea players ever actually play for them ? ANOTHER ONE. We've long been linked with LC. Presumably dependent on all their other loanees. We must get one of them. Surely. 6/10
World CUP WINNER - Josh Onomah - "wanted on loan" says The Sun a while back now and nothing since but then how many loanees can we actually have (just 2) so this is all dependent on Loftus Cheek/Brown/Gomez chasing. 4/10

Oliver Burke - Typical M.O for the Albion. Promising young winger spends a few months away in foreign league. Doesn't catch. We step in and bring him back in triumph. Does lightning strike twice. Hudds are also interested (as per) Reports a bit thin mind. 3/10

"Nothing in a lot of the names you're seeing".. And a certain @not-andy-naylor reminds us that "50% of our signings were not mentioned anywhere before signing. That should tell you a lot about reliablity of media reports".
And for reference here's PB singing strategy. "we don’t just have a single player on our list. We have a cluster of players of the same quality and that is how we work.This whole transfer window, as always, is very much a waiting game. People have to be patient.”
And these words from TB about 2017/18. Its mostly his money after all:
"Money is spent every season at every single club. We have to strengthen, that goes without saying. But we’re not looking to spend huge amounts. We’ll do things on a gradual basis, as we have done. We have good players already, and we want to strengthen from that position."
