I think a lot of the problem people have is the short-term thinking. Yes, we will see an economic blip as we transition... we already are seeing one and it hasn't even happened yet... but long-term, as we build on the foundations of being a truly independent country without the shackles of EU policy making and trade restrictions, there is absolutely no reason why we can't establish the country as a progressive global economic hub.

I have revised my prediction I am now thinking this is a bit of Machiavellian politics by Mrs May and that the fear of going out with no deal will frighten enough MPs to get her deal through as part of a second vote with several minor admendments
