You seem to have your wires crossed. Leavers were not interested in injecting more democracy into the EU institutions. Leavers wanted fvck all to do with those institutions. No point in polishing a turd. The battle to inject more much needed democracy into the EU is the fight of the poor sods who will be still in it.

Well what would you call people who still think 'no deal' is an option after you yourself agreed that no deal would end up as an extension to EU membership called 'emergency measures'.

There are people on the last 3 pages that think we already operate WTO rules and tariffs, that we don't need borders to implement WTO rules and tariffs or, best of the lot, that the borders of the UK are everybody else's responsibility but not the UKs?

With the best will in the world, how can you not make the judgment that these people are sadly lacking in cognitive ability?

Because I'm struggling to think of an alternative term to 'moron' :shrug:

And I don't have to influence or win over anyone. All I do is observe this whole farce from a safe position.

And, by the way, this is exactly what I told you would happen :p

The fact Boris Johnson arranged a PHOTOSHOOT of him signing his resignation letter tells you everything about him.

Irrespective of the whatever anyone thinks about number 10, there were smart enough to make public his resignation before he had the chance.

Even the DAILY MAIL and the DAILY EXPRESS are taking the piss.

I've always liked David Davis to be honest a generally honorable politician. Boris nah, waited for someone else to jump thinking it was the MAJOR story.

It wasn't.

Everyone was just waiting for him to go because of his pathetic attempt at Foreign Secretary.

Well perhaps. But they (or those with a few brain cells) do rather bleat this democratic deficit quite often and add it to their hate list. After all they must have some reason for wanting 'fuvk all to do with these institutions' other than a reflexive and possibly irrational hatred. Or, thinking about it, maybe not and you are right - I got my wires crossed and thanks for pointing this out.

Crikey.....if thats a serious comment, then its a sad indictment on the mentality of the younger generation.
Only maturity can give you the experience to understand what goes on around us. We spend all our formative years wrapped up in our own self-satisfying world, blaming our parents and the rest of the world for anything that goes wrong. We are young, vulnerable and susceptible to brain washing. We socialise more and question less. It takes years and years to work out how the system works, how it is manipulated, who controls it and who benefits from it. Only then can you really take decisions based on the good of the country rather than the good of the individual.
When you are older, you have more emotional maturity. You lose parents, brothers, sisters and tragically, sometimes your own children. There are no more older generation. Its you. Divorce, business failure and ever demanding needs of children add to the cocktail of life. You have more time to reflect, to consider and to reason. The brain cells still work.

Not entirely serious but thanks for jumping in to the net.

However there are a couple of serious responses. Firstly the older generation here has decided FOR the younger generation regarding something that they themselves won't have to live with much. Boomers have had all the benefits of economic progress and freedom to travel and have decided that their youngers shouldn't have it any more for no better reason than a lot of them are scared of brown people. Secondly you have experience of being old NOW. You can't, wont and don't know what the world will be like when today's millennials are old so you're voting just as selfishly as anyone else.
