Crystal Palace duo Scott Dann and Jason Puncheon will miss the rest of the season with "very serious" cruciate knee-ligament injuries sustained in separate tackles on Manchester City's Kevin de Bruyne, says boss Roy Hodgson.

Eagles captain Dann was carried off on a stretcher during Sunday's*0-0 draw.

Puncheon was injured in a late tackle on De Bruyne in the final minute.

"We won't see them again this season and they may not be ready for the start of next season," said Hodgson.

"They'll both see a specialist and likely undergo surgery once the swelling goes. They are very serious injuries."

Terrible news...

Gotta say that is pretty bad luck for two players to get bad injuries in the same game.

I saw this, definitely an element of karma in there based on the 'tackles' they were making at the time... Given Puncheons recent behavior maybe a spell out will help him grow up a bit

Just need a transfer bid from anyone for Zaha now and the day is complete

If you look at the video capture for Puncheons tackle , it shows about 16 players in the view and the ball was not anywhere to be seen. I saw the match on TV and the tackle from him was at least 1 second late 9after DeBruyne had released the ball). Serves him right. He would have had a three match retrospective ban anyway. Throughout the whole match the Scum did nothing but foul and kick....

Karma indeed.......

Wow. These are serious, career threatening injuries.. appreciate Puncheon's was a horrible foul, but wouldn't wish such circumstances on anyone, even Palace players.

Puncheon was attempting to end one of the best players in the World, hard to have an ounce of sympathy.

Yup, and the two CP dickheads will be walking on crutches for the next six months... while De Bruyne played last night. Instant karma right there.

Agree, hope they come back. But it's very funny, hope this really dents the turn around they have had and screws the season right up. Panic buys, wasted money what more could we want.

oh......................Zaha to leave.
