I think its absolutely the right thing to do being as police referred fans to the club saying it was BHAFC staff that found the elusive weapons

Don't see why not - the police aren't untouchable and it might stop them lying in future.

If the club fell out with the police, which this could be construed at, presumably the police could stop the albion playing at all couldn't they?
