We can't say too much about choking as we still had a chance of going up until the Northants game.

we had a chance, but Notts have choked.
Although its partly because after destroying other teams early in the season, Broad has been whisked away for England for the rest of the summer
Losing to Northants was a setback but we still had a chance of going up until the Derbyshire game - losing that one (only their second win of the season) did for us.
On batting merit he should go in at 9 or 10. No way ahead of archer
