Saw him with Nils Lofgren at the .dome in the 70s - one of the greatesy gigs I have ever seen. A true legend and will be greatly missed by a shedload of people, including me. RIP but give them a rocking good time up there with George and Roy.

Heartbreakers drummer is Brighton lad Steve Ferrone who was also in the Average White Band.RIP Tom.

i also got to see him his year at a Hyde Park, loved this guy and his music since i was just a spotty 17 year old, Christ yet another hero gone, 66! shit man that's nothing and all gettin too bloody close for comfort.

I saw him a couple of times at The Dome, once at the centre and once at Hammersmith Odeon. Phenomenal talent. I saw him with the heartbreakers at Wembley Arena, when they were Dylan's backing band. One of those 'Kennedy moments'. This is indeed tragic news.
