Far too many people use women when they mean an individual woman.

Would of is what really grates with me, though.

Oh, and we're instead of we'll.
would of of instead of would have or would've really annoys me too. My old man used to write to the BBC to correct their grammatical mistakes and I guess I've inherited some of his personality.

There seems to be confusion, or lack of knowledge, of some words and witch/which is correct.

There/their/they're are of course the common examples, but recently I have noticed people using mute instead of moot quite a lot.

You have a point.

"Shoe in" when people mean "shoo in"
"here here" for "hear hear"
"free reign" for "free rein"
"dam" when they mean "damn" / "dammed" for "damned"
"opps!" for "oops!"
I have even seen at least twice "kerching" for "Kerr-ching!"
OK, so the last two are just misspellings rather than substitute words, although I always read "opps" like "ops", meaning "operations"
And then there is pedal stool:

People voting OUT when they meant IN.
People voting IN when they meant OUT.
People who couldn't (could not) care less (careless) :)

Most annoying of all is the use of 'if' instead of whether. E.g. 'I don't know IF he's in', when it should be 'I don't know WHETHER he's in'. Even the bloomin' BBC do it nowadays!
