It would seem we have a 2 week grand tour.

Proper racing today, for the first time this Giro.

I'm hopeful tomorrow will be an entertaining finish. Thanks for the clue that today was a goody. I'll make sure I watch the highlights instead of Eurovision.

If only there were a reason Halfrauds had such a bad reputation?

A while ago Jnr had a front wheel puncture in his Carrera road bike.
As I removed it to fix, it turns out they couldn't have had any 650 tubes in stock so instead Halfrauds put in a 700 tube and folded it over.

I'm currently fixing his first rear wheel puncture.

The tube was almost impossible to remove, tight as a drum.
I finally got it out and much to my surprise it's a 650 tube.

What was even more surprising was this fitting tube had also been folded over, as if it were too big!

Surely something will happen in the Giro today. Impressed by Landa yesterday, I like him a lot.

Punts for today: Landa 10-1; Yates 15-1; Woods 50-1 e/w and Formolo 80-1 e/w

Fancy Cannondale to break their drought today, no one will chase them and they have a lot of cards to play.

Vaughters doing his best to ruin my bets. Why are Cannondale riding on the front of the bunch?

I did spend most of yesterday laughing at Willier missing the break.

They'd received an almighty rollockin for missing breaks.
They were riding a stage with 3 separate breaks going away.
They missed all of them.

I'm surprised the GC teams didn't TTT the entire Willier team up to the break, then shout, 'now stay there'.

Saw Spreadbetting Seagull yesterday as I limped helplessly back to Steyning from Partridge Green. Thanks mate for giving me your wheel and slowing for a chat, much appreciated. He did let me know he'd completed 7 repeats of Ditchling Beacon in quick succession a few days before - made me feel sick just thinking about it...

Yep - exactly the same for Fignon Jnr's road bike from there. Couldn't believe it!
