really? the same Ed Balls that lost his seat so presumably wouldnt be eligable. proof if we needed that bookings odds are meaningless as predictions.
Jack Straw was on the box last night and he was saying that Corbyn's position is so untenable that as it stands if there was a general election tomorrow and Labour won, Corbyn himself could not count on enough MP's "on his own side" to vote through any policies at all in the house....he would in effect be a PM that could not govern.

It wouldn't have worked then because he had a massive mandate from party members. His inept performance during the referendum may well have convinced many that voted for him that whilst a man of principles, he is no leader and that is what the party will need in the coming months if they are to fight an election to oust the Tories.

Excellent response. I suspect the unions are weighing up what to do. Back Corbyn and kiss goodbye to any chance or a Labour government or back someone not so far to the left and have a chance of victory which then allows you to have left leaning policies!!!

Apparently, the unions will not call for Corbyn to resign and with the legal advice being that Corbyn gets an automatic slot on the nominations list this is all-out civil war. Bad news for the UK.
