[News] Noel Edmonds confirmed

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
Not sure he was actually killed, he died due to an accident yes, but killed ?

From Wiki

Although the inquest recorded a verdict of misadventure, the jury were informed of several failures on the part of the BBC. Graham Games of the Health and Safety Executive stated that the clip could have been opened by the weight of a bag of sugar, and demonstrated that the clip sprang loose 14 times in 20. David Kirke, a bungee specialist from the Dangerous Sports Club, stated that a similar stunt he had been involved with used three ropes, as opposed to the one rope used by the BBC, and shackles in the place of carabiner clips.[13] The safety officer, Andrew Smith, was not on hand, and no supervision or demonstration from a trained stuntman had occurred. There was also no way for Lush to contact the ground once he was in the air, and nobody in the air with him in case he changed his mind; the jury heard that he delayed for almost two minutes before finally being instructed to make the jump. Furthermore, despite advice against it, the BBC production team had insisted on the use of an elasticated bungee rope.

The BBC made an ex gratia payment of approximately £120,000 to Lush's family.[14][15] While the coroner recommended that safety officers be on hand during any such future stunts, BBC managing director Bill Cotton stated that there would be no future programmes that exposed members of the public to risk.[16] After the inquest, Noel Edmonds was quoted as saying "If I was to continue my career at the BBC I would want to be fully confident about any production team I was provided with.

I stand corrected, forgive me English grammar is not my strong point, and if in doubt I usually google.
I always thought kill or killed meant on purpose as in you go out to kill or are killed by someone or something with intent, and died would be used if death was caused by an accident or misadventure.

You learn something new everyday, especially if your an idiot like me it seems anyway.

Yes, killed. As people are killed in car accidents. Being on the show was the cause of his death. I didn't say manslaughter or murder.

Edit - just seen the above

I'm not sure he is but he is one of the few people I give a pass on for appearing to be a bit of a tit. He was very good at what he did and was a big part of 80s and 90s TV entertainment. Swap Shop, Telly Addicts, all of the Saturday night entertainment show incarnations and DOND were all good in their time. Then there was the guy who was killed on the show, the Blobbyland fiasco, his weird rants on his comeback show a few years ago, his even weirder "draw a symbol on your hand and you get what you want" ethos.

How on earth is he deemed a bit of a tit for a tragic accident he had no part in? Its a bit like holding Fiona Bruce to account for reporting deaths on 'her show' aka The News? Don't like the guy by all means but that's unfair. BTW, his 'weird rants' were when he was mentally ill, he nearly committed suicide.

It's a masterstroke. Knowles v Edmonds v Barrowman. How much EGO in one JUNGLE? I don't watch it but I bet it will be GOLD.

Noel Edmonds goes into the jungle, but can't make his mind up whether to have the baby cow that's on the menu.

So he gets the others to help him decide and asks, "Veal or No Veal?"

Edmonds is on a bushtucker trial, and is told it'll mean the difference between "Meal or No Meal".

I bet Ant or Dec (whoever it is in there) uses that. I'm claiming it now.

It'll happen. I'd equally bet that my one doesn't get used. Unless it's on the front of a tabloid.
