And how have you spent those extra days you have saved? You haven't invented a cure for cancer, you havent paved a course for World peace, you haven't even written a winning Eurovision song,you've got home a bit earlier, hardly worth the risk of missing crucial goals, sending offs, or even a very drunk person doing a streak.
Its better to die living, than live dying!

Yup, only time I have left early was the Palace game at the second goal. Freely admit that one, although being seated right next to them I feel mitigating circumstances.

There's a difference between leaving a sh*t Amex dull fest, compared to the play-off final - the culmination of a season's hard slog. I usually leave on 88 minutes as I have a 4 year old who is a nightmare when we're queueing - I would never leave a Play off final early

We subbed Savage at half time and looked much better after. Bradley Johnson scored twice from the edge of the area and towards the end of the game my best mate got the game delayed 20secs by grabbing the ball on the running track and booting it back on when they'd got another one already in play :lol:

You have hit the nail spot on,leaving five minutes before final whistle not only avoids delaying family evening meal but also provides time for evening events shows/pubs etc,if you should have missed a last minute goal then catch up on TV,simple!

Fair enough, but I'd rather go for some of the game than none of it in that situation and it appears that others are of a similar mind.

(I once went for only the first half: an hour to the stadium, 45 minutes of football and an hour back again, but for me I'd rather do that and show up for what I can than not go at all just because I can't stay the full 90 minutes).

We are bad - but it is a widespread phenomenon and our home matches have not exactly been thrilling recently.

I did against Millwall at home this season f**cking shocking display and never looked liked scoring first time I've ever left a game early!
