Here
I fail to see why a player who is prone to injury should cease to be of interest to us. It's not as if this has been a deterrent in the past!!

As a free agent a deal for Brattan could happen any time outside the transfer window although you would imagine we'd want it tied up before dropping our interest in Sam Morsy. Brattan seems to have a dodgy injury record but currently called up as a late replacement for Australia replacing the injured Jedinak so presumably has some form

How does he fit in relation to the transfer window?

Some reports refer to him as a former Brisbane Roar player, while others say he put them on notice of immediate termination of contract due to breaches in pay in late August. If he managed to secure his release prior to September 1st then he's a free agent and we can sign him. If he was released from his contract after September 1st then he cannot sign for any English club until the window opens.

Thanks. The fact that he's seemingly over here talking to clubs seems to suggest he was released before Sept 1st, or else he's a bit silly.

Found this from the paper that journo works for:

Meanwhile, former Roar midfielder Luke Brattan is understood to have agreed to terms with an English club and passed his medical.

Brattan, who was successful in his bid to leave the Roar on a free transfer because of the late payment of superannuation, was last night due to arrive back in Brisbane from England.

He can’t sing a contract until the result of the Roar’s appeal on Friday against his free transfer is determined.
