Has happened before hasn't it, in one of the recent World Cups. I imagine they probably used NGR or (say) DEU instead...surely?

If they were to play in a World Cup or similar, they would surely just simply reverse the order that the names would appear in so it would be Germany vs Nigeria instead




Edit: Checked as i had had heard of this fixture before which is why it came to mind when you asked the question and it was displayed with Germany first when they played each other in the U-20 World Cup in 2015

There was a screen shot doing the rounds a few years back with Nigeria first, but it was taken from a World Cup computer game


2nd edit: The Women's World Cup had this fixture (so it was more likely recalled from this fixture than the u-20's) where they did keep Nigeria listed first, but they didn't shorten the names and only displayed them in full

Click on a tweet and select the share tweet via button.

You need to paste the link between between the brackets and then delete all of the characters except for the long set of numbers. Example set up below.
