Brighton factually.....
Cox got 2 that day, other scorers were Gatting, Alex Revell and Sam Rents. The only bloody home game I missed that season as I was working at an event at York Hall, Bethnal Green. Was rather annoyed as my mates sent me mocking texts about the goal fest. I also missed the Chester away game when we won 7-1, a few years early for similar reasons.

Ahhh York lovely place, boxing or a gig, I saw Morrissey play there around that time I’m sure.

Even the Hudds fans applauded him off the pitch when he was subbed.

Hudds had fans back then even though they weren’t in the premier league?

A bit like us - a core of about 7000, but half of their ground was closed whereas ours (withdean) was sold out

I guess there is a fine line between success (top league) and plying your trade lower down ( 6th level now) but looking at the goals he scored showed a completely natural instinct as a striker tap in but also blasters and that beautiful lob. I agree with one of previous posters had he been at the club now he might have got further. I guess he was not a Micky Adams style of player.

Came over very well in the video.
