No, I'm just an ardent leaver, I'm also an oldie to boot. One of those few people who remember Britain before the Behemoth that is now the EU. A time when our farmers could grow what they liked and as much as they liked and when we had a huge fishing fleet that could catch what we liked when we liked.
Does that answer your question?

I'm an oldie too and remember the Cod wars with Iceland which were before the EU, so it wasn't the rosy picture you remember.

Problem is 'we' (that is 52 % of those who voted) didn't vote FOR anything and a series of leading leave politicians have walked away after being charged with delivering a workable and attractive deal.

The problem is there is no such thing as a workable and attractive deal. You've been sold a pup, by corrupt Tories.

But we won that one if I remember. What irks me is the French and Spanish fleet fish our waters defying the EU quotas a d sell the bloody fish back to us.

And we sell our bloody fish to them. It's called cooperation.
The British are not all innocent here. The scallop fracas in September was started by the British, fishing a month early before the breeding had finished. Our methods are destroying the scallop beds by scraping the bottom, so it was no surprise the French objected.
It isn't all British good, others bad. Read between the lines and don't just listen to propaganda.

We could be in a position where the deal fails to get through Parliament. They'll be scared stiff of leaving with no deal, so will go for a second referendum. The EU will gladly extend the Article 50 timeline if there's a chance we'll remain. We then have a second referendum where the people again vote to leave. This time they'll know full well what the score is. Then presumably MPs will have to vote for May's deal again - as it really will be the 'will of the people'. And if that scenario plans out, then even the most hardened of remainers will have to accept it I think.

Er, that's innocent, since fishing then is within the law. The French fisherman broke the law by damaging the British boats.

They didn't object, they broke the law. You seem to be putting spin on this. Presumably our fishing methods are the same as they've been for years - if it's causing a problem, then why haven't the French addressed this using the legal channels?

Don’t think we will leave.

Brexiteers in the Government have been given enough to hang themselves and have done.

May/whoever is in charge just needs to point out they all ran away and we couldn’t get a deal done.

May has made it pretty clear no Brexit is a realistic thing now.

I served on HMS Yarmouth during the Cod Wars, in the 3rd cod war. We lost all 3, with the Icelandic’s expanding their territorial waters to 200 miles. This, more than the EU was the reason for the decline of the British fishing fleet.

There is also evidence that British fishermen have been known to sell their fishing quotas to foreign fishermen.

Deluded if you think 2.4 million plus would change their mind because of the usual scaremongering.

They tried this shite before with Obama etc and no way would remain win.No chance of another referendum anyway as that's just plain stupid because of the bitter losers can't except the decision that was as clear as day....In or out of the EU !!

Where did you get 2.4m from?

The only reason we started fishing Icelandic Cod was because we had destroyed our own stocks. Previous to that we had wiped out the Cornish Pilchard stocks and North Sea Herring. Currently the EU analyse the scientific data to set a TAC ( total allowable catch ) for each species and then divide it up between EU nations. Lots of horse trading goes on as some countries prefer fish of different species but it all levels out.

. Once we are out of the EU we will have to negotiate a trade deal with the EU to get the fish we want at the price of some of our fish plus we still have to sign up to general EU fishing quotas in order to preserve and allow stocks to recover. There will be no bonanza for British fishermen as we have been complicit in the decline of all fish in the North Sea, Irish Sea, Channel and west of Scotland. Sadly, only reducing TAC quotas will save fish stocks and frankly, that isn't going to happen.

They did and we ignored them. Don't believe all you hear on our news channels.

I can't see May getting her plan through - she might as well try and move the planet a few inches ( NOT centimetres ! ) to the right - she'd have more success. There's also not enough time for any of the other options.

Donald Trump's already done that.

I cannot see any way at all that May gets her deal through, frankly. Once that's happened is when the really interesting stuff happens.

Can see a second referendum based on Remain vs No Deal. I'd expect Remain to win that, but it's by no way certain.

Since you mentioned the law being broken at sea, one of The British Fishing boats presents was The Honeybourne III from Peterhead operating out of Shoreham. It's a 30 metre trawler and it's terrible the damage it received off a French small boat, but it's very accomplished at breaking the law itself, as it has the means to pay any fines it incurs if it gets caught, unlike a 10 metre boat fisherman would, such as in the French Scallop fleet who were all fully aware of it's previous, hence their anger at it's presence:

Can't let the facts get in the way of fishing story though.

negotiating a trade deal for selling fish shouldnt be challenge since they want the fish from UK waters and there's nowt else around. a view from Spain is it could be a significant vote loser if they imports were blocked, they take their fish quite seriously.

May gone then some sort of Norway deal where leavers will just have to put up with freedom of movement.

If not, a new referendum then we stay.

If the second we will just have to put up with a rise of very anti EU / far right uprising for a while even longer.

Longer term I think we see a re-emergence of centre ground politics. I think people are now longing for ambiguous ineffectual political blandness again rather than seeing what happens of you allow the far left and right fight it out and see what happens.

Seriously I hope future Governments deal with inequality in society because that's what got us here. Before anyone suggests I'm asking for Socialism I'm not.

Really just reacting to the fact that the 80s "trickle down" experiment never worked. The aspiration was for the middle class to grow off the back of allowing the rich the earn more and employ more people.

What happened is the poor got poorer and the rich got richer.

Who is letting the facts get in the way? Certainly not me. So a British boat broke the rules twice, and got fined each time. That doesn't suddenly make it lawful for the French fisherman to attach the British boats.
