Just missing on 77 points!? No one has missed out on the play-off's with 77 points ever!!!! Even in the early '80's when you had the playoff's between 2 of the relegation candidates of Div 1 with 2nd and 3rd of Div 2 77 points was enough.
This will be the highest top 6 collection of points in the history of this division!

I hope you are right. But to catch even Forest that means we needs three more wins than them in the 16 games remaining. Possible - but it means that we will need to hit form, and start scoring. And there are a few clubs saying precisely the same. There are signs - but how would we look if Ulloa was not available ?
We're already on form at home. Just need to pick up away a bit, not a dramatic shift needed at all.

Damn right. Pressure, form and confidence are bizarre unpredictable things. No way each of the teams is going to continue indefinitely on their present run of form.

The difference this year is a break away group at the top of the table and, as you say, we are on the fringe and need a couple from 7 to lose form but I cannot see us catching QPR.
Not disagreeing with your points about our reliance on Leo, or the fact that we are one of around five other clubs saying the same thing, but if Reading, Brighton or Wigan keep winning 1-0 at home and mostly drawing away, then one or two of the clubs in the top 5 can be caught.
Individually I'd say the same about all four teams fighting for 2nd place. But I reckon one or two will stutter, so it's down to maintaining form at home, where we have FOUR promotion rivals to come (and only one or two away).

Two wins on the bounce is a good start to the run-in - but it has not really felt to me like we are on form at home. I prefer to wait until after Wigan and Reading to make a judgement. I am not being a doom-monger - it just feels like early days.

We maybe a point better off this season but we are 2 and 3 points further behind the third and fourth teams this year than last. So I believe no.

Personally I wouldn't include cup games. That would make it it WWWDD - which is still decent. But when we talk of form - January 1st and before seems a long time ago. Withdean may turn out to be a fortress for the remainder of the season - it just does not feel like it after the last two (very welcome) wins. We do not look a team on form. But as long as we keep winning - who cares.

My head says yes (injuries getting back, starting to grind out wins, solid home form) but my heart says no (not enough out and out goal scorers and not scoring enough). Would really loved to be proved wrong!
I have to agree, it doesn't feel like Withdean will be a fortress this season.

I do hope not; Forest are the only team that genuinely made us look poor when they visited, when we didn't actually play that badly. Ipswich and Watford away we looked poor, but we were. Of course, it's only 1 game, but I'll be feeling nervous if both sides need a win to get a play-off spot.
