That has to be one of the worst Australian sides in living memory.

This gives a chance for the rest of the world to see what an Australian side looks like once messers Warne, Gilchrist and McGrath have retired.

They may well become a great side again but when you take 3 legends of world crciekt out, they suddenly look vulnerable.

We really do have a good chance if we get Freddie fit for the winter.

Bear in mind that Australia are only playing 3 of their first choice/strongest ODI side (possibly 4, if you count Katich) and it's not really anything to get excited about. You can bet your bottom dollar that players like Cullen, Bracken and Jacques won't get near the Ashes test side this winter.

Yes but they are the next generation once the likes of Ponting, Gilchrist, McGrath, Martyn, Warne and Gillespie retire.

They currently have a team full of legends that have played the game, no-one can recover straight away when those players are lost.

If you had to pick an all-time world XI you'd be hard pushed not to include 2-3 of the current Aussie team.
