I think it would be a good idea.

Thoughts?

Nah, he aint been here long enough, retiring a shirt is more of a loyalty thing.

What happens when Cullip leaves, do we retire the 4 shirt aswell?

We'll run out of shirts by 2010!

:lolol:

No, let's keep the No 25 jersey. Bobby was a great player for the Albion but I'm not sure his heart was ever truly in the club. For me, only Wardy has achieved legendary status over the last 30 years.

:)

No.

No single player is big enough to warrant this treatment at the beginning of his career. Or even at the end of it, imho.

The Albion is what lasts.

Mind you, I'd probably allocate the next no. 25 shirt to a third string goalkeeper, rather than another promising 19 year old striker.

No way - shirts numbers are retired to legends who serve their club all their playing career.

This hasn't happened.

Womblin' wise words Zebedee.........couldn't have said it better myself. Bobby might get the God like status from the kids that follow The Albion, but when I was a kid we had Peter Ward, that was 27 years ago and WE STILL SING SONGS ABOUT HIM !! Do any other clubs do that? I have heard the mancs singing about Cantana, but he wasn't 27 years ago was he?

and number one was Peter Ward and number two was Peter Ward..........repeat FOREVER.........He shot he scored, he wasn't Bobby Zamora, he was Peter Ward......Bobby thanks for the memories and the 2 promotions, now go be successfull and don't forget The Albion, just like Wardy hasn't!!

Got me ticket today Zeb, same seat, see you soon
