[Albion] Hughton: "I think there's a lot more to come from [Locadia]"

I think his situation is very much like Izquierdo. He came, struggled to get up to speed, therefore had limited game time and then suddenly it started to click.

Locadia needs a pre season with us and then I think he will be a totally different player next season. If you look back at a lot of signings they never look great for a few games and Locadia just hasn't had that run to get fully match fit, and up to speed with the Premier League. It is very rare indeed that a player joins and looks sharp straightaway in modern football.

Spot on!

Get what you mean but playing for a 'big' club must be an aspiration for a lot of players. He will have to impress the shit out of everyone, whoever his dream team is, and that can only be good for us as he strives to perform. Must admit though, if he does come good, I would like him to stay. Maybe sticking a few past them tomorrow would pop his Man U bubble?

Perhaps he could start by impressing everyone slightly, which he has so far failed to do. I'm far from convinced that he's good enough for us, let alone a top six team. So far his main contribution has been to make Murray start scoring.

Which in itself is a good start! So many reasons for CH not to play him, so I really don't think we will see the full picture until next season. Too early to judge IMO.

Bit OT but I really want someone in the summer who in no particular order on his cv, is a decent crosser of the ball, dead ball specialist, can take a fricking corner. I am so underwhelmed when we get a corner or set piece, it's an area we are just crying out for improvement in

Spot on. Seen glimpses of some good stuff in the very limited time he’s had so far. Seems fairly quick and has a presence (bit of a unit), decent shot on him and prepared to hit it (something we’re lacking apart from Jose perhaps) and makes some cracking runs (similar to Baldock perhaps). Not sure Murray has another season of leading the attack in him at this level.

In the few times that he has appeared I have been impressed with his positioning and awareness plus his ability on the ground to beat an opponent and if you add that to his pace you have the makings of a very good player, who after scoring goals for us next season will be in high demand.

Pascal Groß’ dead ball delivery is up there with the best in the league. The corners and free kicks he’s sending in, are consistently on the money. Our lack of threat from them is down to those on the end of them.

Absolutely. Dunk and Duffy in particular have been bloody useless in an attacking sense. So many decent crosses headed up and over.

They've been superb defensively, but if there is a criticism, they have both had a lot of free headers in the opponents box - disappointing

You seem a bit underwhelmed by Locadia Bozza.

How I see it he was brought in, knowingly injured, and not expected to feature much. Very much one for next year. He has done what I expected thus far, ie not a lot other than settle an get some match experience. A bit of a rare gamble this one, and it's going to prove yay or nay after a proper pre season

Bozza doubling up in a David Dimbleby role currently so feeling a bit tetchy/knackered...

I would rather he said I know rather than I think.
Only one way to find out, play him, in his best position.
Maybe Chris is bigging him up before a start tomorrow night.
Hope so.

Possible.....he did alright in the FA Cup game up there (apart from finishing, which is unfortunate)

Who is Grob ? Stop spell Gross correctly.....it’s annoying.

I think he’ll be a major player for us but it won’t be happening this season

Dunk at least gets about half of his headers on target, and has had a few well cleared off the line. Duffy, by contrast, has a dreadful radar; I really can't remember if he's actually got one on target all season.

Hope so, he’s not been really given much of a chance so far . But I have a feeling he will turn out to be a good buy

Exactly as I put it yesterday or the day before. Nice to see we are on the same page. CH doesn't throw people into the deep end.
