Whose your money on ?

I've gone for Monty, Harrington and Donald each way though this particular event all manages to throw up a few outsiders.

Tiger Woods is the man to beat again, I can't see him losing again this year.

Still not convinced he is in the right frame of mind though....but you never know with him.

I think David Howell has had a good year so far, so I might be tempted to go for him to be the top GB & Ireland finisher. Swaying between him and Luke Donald...

Can't wait until The Open starts tomorrow - have the next two days off work to watch it:D Shame I'm not there like I was at St Andrews last year :(

My fancies this year are Jim Furyk, Tim Clark, Luke Donald and Reitef Goosen. All hit the ball straight and have good short games which will be required round Hoylake. Outsiders to mention are Chad Campbell, Kenny Perry and Paul Broadhurst.

Good luck everyone.

Go on son, stick your neck out.

Having said that, no credit for me either - have gone with David Howell and Adam Scott, both of whom are already mentioned....

Somebody told me that the reason it hasn't been back to Hoylake for 40 years until now has got nothing to do with road access or hotels as they claim. Its because the members at the club which owns the course had refused to allow professionals into the club house!!

I fancy Sergio Garcia to excell in these Mediterranean conditions.
