No, not at all. My point is that the games towards the end of the season became sell outs, whereas earlier on they were not. It will be interesting to see whether Swansea, Burnley, Stoke and 'Udders sell out.

North stand can go back another 10 rows. It houses office and now the offices can go to the training facilities.

Here is my plan and I don't think it would need anything structural to the roof or any other part.
East Stand Upper: Increase the wrap around on the corners. This should add 200+
North Stand: Eat into the office space (which surely there is space for at Lancing or the new hotel when it comes) and create a smaller upper tier or just enlarge the current north. This could add 1250+
Add another 2 seats per row per block. This would involve losing less than an inch gap between seats if we could nick 2 inches of the vestibule. This could add nearly 2000 seats
If we could dig down in the close season just enough to add one extra row all the way around, we could add nearly 1000 seats, 2000 if 2 rows could happen.
The big one is safe standing. The club have said before that the concourses can't accommodate more fans. I find this hard to believe after visiting places like QPR, Villa (upstairs) and Watford. Some reports for safe standing suggest 3 safe standing areas for 2 seats. With the current north stand, this could give us another 1300. With an expanded north stand it would mean another 2000 on top of the extra 1250 from expanding it in the first place.
BTW. An easy way to reduce congestion in the north concourse is to make more drink and loos variable outside so folk and do their business before the game, and to relent on the no smoking policy and have a smoking area that can be used at half time. This, I guess would remove 15% from the north concourse (I'm a non smoker)
All the above figures are total guess work.
Finally, the best way to have more watching our games requires zero alterations. Just a decent, functional Season Ticket exchange which is properly communicated with the correct incentives to make ones ticket available. I've said it before, but in this day, with a club that does so much so well with tech, there should be a BHA App. It would house your tickets, allow you to say when you ain't going and would be great for the club as they could advertise offers or late seat availability. It could also be commercialised further by inviting sponsors to interact with the fan base.

This would take us to 30 per row between aisles which is more than permitted under normal circumstances. 28 is the maximum.

We could sell an extra 2000 tickets and its up to you to find any empty seats,always a good 2k that don't turn up plus must be around 500 nipping off to the loo/food drink etc. A bit like musical chairs tbh.

I imagine away fans will sell out their allocation pretty much every game this season which means fewer tickets for Albion fans . Whereas last year I don't think many teams brought their full allocation.

It would be interesting to know how many season tickets we could have sold this year, and last year. I guess the waiting list tells us something, and I suppose 35-40,000 crowds would have been possible, but I imagine thats really just a first season thing. I think our current capacity will turn out to be just fine
But if you ignore the logistical, practical and financial problems that expansion would cause, a new stand is practically guaranteed.

It would be nice, but there's a strong possibility, perhaps more than that, that we will return to the Championship next May. The bookies odds are a realistic reflection of reality at this moment. Unless and until we acquire several high quality signings this summer, that strong possibility remains.
Crowds in 2018/19 in the Championship, with the deflated feeling from being one season wonders, would take a big hit.
