God, really? It sounds like I really should visit him.

When I was last there it was Peroni, Birra Moretti or nothing.

Via del Pratello has a few good bars in that do local crafts and Belgiums on tap. Christ they were knocking La Chouffe out at 6 euros for a pint. Round the corner is a Brewdog and a splendid bar call Punt which had the sign up that I mentioned above. Via Pratello has a lovely vibe about the place and some good grub around as well.
Get yourself over there Mr Malone............. No excuses now.

All the major cities of Northern Italy are into it now thank god.

Well, there you go.

I've not been over for years, but will have to now!

Thanks for the tips!

Exactly. Which is precisely why they used the beard yeast. They wanted to brew with wild yeast, and tried looking in numerous locations. It just happened that the perfect strain was eventually found growing literally right under the brewer's own nose.

Fellow NSCers and CAMRA Members

CAMRA have just announced their champion beers of the year, to coinicide with the current GBBF that is on at Olympia.
Glad to see that Harveys have got a Gold winner and chuffed as a chuffed chuffer that Kelburn have a Gold and a Silver. I can seriously recommend Jaguar as a tipple. It is a cawker and brewed local to us here in Glasgow. Also Fyne Ales get a SIlver for their rather nice bottled IPA. In fact Scottish Independent Beers are more than well represented, which shows the depth of great beers that we now have up here (smore than compensates for the p!sh that is Deuchars and Tennants).
Oh and I also rather like Boltmaker from Timothy Taylor, a good challenge to their beautiful Landlord .

Full list of winners below.

Happy drinking

I've heard 28th August but who knows?! I'm keeping an eye on the Brewdog forum (much less traffic than here) as they normally announce a shareholder event just before the launch.

I have shares, but can't find the forum- link please?
