Sad loser tournament? Frankly I'd rather be in that one rather than the FIFA pay-us-a-lot-of-money one in Russia. Plus, they're fans, unlike ours, won't be subject to homophobic abuse, state-sponsored thuggery and other hassles likely to be encountered in Putin's land of the not-so-free. Get a few African countries in, plus a couple from South America, maybe the Aussies or the Kiwis if they don't get through and we could have a grand little tournament this summer in England's fantastic already available stadiums.

England have sort of gone back to the drawing board, English manager in charge and not being afraid to pick youth.
Its all been in the modes of France and Germany, building for the future.
Yes you haven't qualified, but that doesn't give Italy the right to be in Russia next year, Serie A has lacked in quality over recent years and that probably is a big part of why you haven't qualified.
