No one takes any notice of the Guardian, except the loony left brigade who have no grasp of economics but think they can put the world to right. Usually once you have grown up and gone past the student / green/ socialist stage you grow out of it and read a decent newspaper like the Times or Telegraph.

You patronising twit.

As an aside I recall that our coach Pat Nevin used to write for the Guardian as well.

But just as bad writing for some limp wristed lefty propaganda pamphlet!!!....for all the Sun's faults, at least the sport section is quite good....Guardian...err not so much.

Yes a 'quite good' sports sections makes up for phone tapping dead kids, Hillsborough, a reading age of 8 (or whatever it is) and publishing biased at best and lies at worst.

Excellent. Never read anything he wrote for the Sunt so nice to be able to hear what he has to say.

Good article, and with CH being a life long Labour member, is the Albion fast becoming the People's Republic......??

And there it is....a typical retort...in no way interested in my point about 'sports sections'... but more important to be seen to be publicly defending our such vulnerable society against the evils of a newspaper!!..and if you don't agree, apparently it's down to the fact it's because it has a reading age of 8!... There you have it!

I responded to your point about the 'quite good' sports section. You did not respond to my point about it not making up for all the other crap that the Sun are involved in.

You are obviously happy to turn a blind eye to the failings of the paper for that sports section and that is your choice. I think it is heartening that a growing number of people are making more descerning choices.

If you think this is because I need to be 'publically defending our vulnerable society' then you have missed the point. This is the kind of crap that is spouted by the Murdoch press so I am not that surprised.

Do people "read" the Sun? Not to be pedantic or anything...

Calling Dr. No

There's nothing wrong with populist writing and aiming for a large audience, but equally there's nothing wrong with writing for a specialist publication either.

By your argument BG the only football stories in the press should be about Manchester United....Oh.

No.
