Stephens has played poorly for 2 games, but also single handedly won us the game against Wigan. Bong has had about 3 good games all season. He is not a 'whipping boy' or 'scapegoat' just playing poorly for an extended period
Ok let's forget about Bong's assists also in previous games!!!

Bong really upped his game in the second half as they all did.

It's true he has yet to rediscover his pre-injury form and if he had competition he might not be starting games but everybody getting on his back isn't going to help.

Stockdale - 8.5 - at least 3 superb saves, a few ambitious kicks not great
Bruno - 7 - improved 2nd half
Duffy - 9 - immense (again). Martin is probably sat on the team bus, quietly weeping after that bullying
Dunk - 9 - also immense
Bong - 6.5 - not quite buying all the Bong hatred on here to be honest, and was pivotal in the second goal
Stephens - 6 - another poor game by his standards, lethargic, particularly in the first half
Sidwell - 7.5 - feel like he is having to cover for Dale not playing too well. Getting through a colossal amount of work. I thought either of our CMs were going to get sent off
Knockaert - 5 - not with it at the moment. Not sure if he's off his game, or being marked out of it by being double-teamed all the time
Murphy - 7 - did ok
Murray - 7 - poor first half, great finish and much better second
Baldock - 9 - excellent performance, superb goal and assist, ran the channels tirelessly

Skalak - 6.5 - did ok
Norwoood - 6.5 - same, not sure he could have got the ball over to Murray when he shot so I'll let him off that

Poor first half, very much like the Villa game. Hugely encouraging to see the character of the team in the second half. Fulham simply crumbled as we bullied them off the park for 20 or 30 mins. We'd have drawn or lost this game last season, and lost to Villa. 4 points from those two games, with Knocky off the pace entirely, is perfectly good.

Shocking first half. Probably the worst we have played all season. We didn't have a clue. Bong was a good example of our malaise. He touched the ball about half a dozen times in the first five minutes and each time he either gave it directly to an opponent or failed to control it. His performance was much improved as the game developed, but how could a professional footballer make so many errors in a short time at the start of a game? Stephens was another who started off badly, but in his case he continued in the same vein. Worst game I've seen him play - giving the ball away, not closing down opponents, committing stupid fouls ... awful.

Stockdale 8. Will need to look at their goal again, but I've marked him down a point for that awful slip-up. Otherwise apart from one crazy kick straight into touch in the second half he kept us in the game with some great saves.
Bruno 7. Not at his best.
Dunk 7. Loses a point for another unnecessary booking, otherwise another good game.
Duffy 9. Very, very good game. A great addition to the squad.
Bong 6. Loses a couple of points for that awful start, but much improved as the game progressed. Involved in the second goal.
Stephens 4. Shocking by his standards.
Sidwell 7. Had a tough job today playing alongside Stephens, but did OK.
Knockaert 5. Poor decision making; did not track back enough. One of his worst performances.
Murphy 8. Impressed. Played very well today.
Baldock 9. Wow! Great goal; great assist; hit the post; full of running.
Murray 8. Didn't hold the ball up quite as well as usual, but a very well taken goal.

Subs:
Skalak 7. Looked much better than AK on the day.
Norwood 7. Did what was required.

Fulham were just about better than us today.
We did just enough to give us a chance of edging it and we did.

No disgrace in that. Nice to be on the right side of it.

Two things stuck out for me today...

What a better side we are with Kayal in the side and Rosenior in place of Bong.

That aside, great recovery second half.

stockdale - 7 - mixed bag. some great saves but distribution poor at times and lord only knows what was happening with the goal

Was a strange one, Duffy should take some blame it think and I'm not convinced the ball had not gone behind from the corner kick, like ours did a few minutes earlier

Stockdale 9 - shame about his slip for the goal as he was excellent otherwise.
Bruno 7 - an average game by his standards. Didn't get forward as much as he could have.
Duffy 6 - a weak first half, rescued by a much better second. His passing was very poor at times, he was responsible for the goal (again) and his lack of pace leads to us dropping far too deep. Still, he marshalled Martin much better in the second half.
Dunk 8 - generally very good in the second half when others around him lost their heads. Cool, calm and collected throughout.
Bong 7 - not a great first half but much improved second. Attacked very well after the break.
Knockaert 6 - doesn't seem on it at the moment and is being ganged up on by opposition teams. Still capable of magic.
Sidwell 6 - starting to show how much we miss Kayal. A real mixed bag of a performance where he lost the ball regularly, was bypassed at times far too easily, but improved dramatically in the second half to set the tempo with his pressing.
Stephens 7 - cool and calm for the main part.
Murphy 8 - our best player first half. Faded second half but was still an outlet.
Baldock 2 (first half), 9 (second half) - the "it's a game of two halves" cliche was made for Baldock's performance today. And what a second half performance.
Murray 7 - took his goal well, battled well, but was isolated for much of the first half as the team became deeper and deeper.

Skalak 6 - fine when he came on.
Norwood 6 - see above.

The ref 2 - what was he watching?

I'm bemused with the ratings for Bruno and Bong. I thought the bearded magician was really poor throughout. He looked his age today and they had untold joy down our right. Bong had a slow start but really improved.
