The cynic in me says this is a publicity stunt to get people talking about the competition and entering it, therefore making the company more money.

Having said that, what a miserable bugger! Maybe he was just shy... :shrug:

If I were to at least even try to defend the bloke - I'd say he works with cars all day, so maybe they don't flick his switch any more. I spend almost 15 years trading cars between dealerships and garages, and in the end I didn't see a nice car - I just saw a lump of metal and (hopefully) a small profit. If you do something for a living, the initial shine always wears off eventually. (I'd be just as chuffed with the briefcase full of readies!)

That said, he does look like he's got the charisma of a Bag for Life.
