Depends: "This book is dedicated to my parents, Margaret Thatcher and God"
Which could equally be "This book is dedicated to my parents, Margaret Thatcher, and God"

Neither IS wrong. What is the matter with everyone, using these erroneous plurals?!
I think you'll find that "Neither are wrong" is fine.

I think you'll find that strictly speaking it should be 'is', though I agree that it's more marginal than the OP's egregious use of 'The Argus are...'.

My non-comma gives the author an intriguing set of parents. Hence the "depends". And don't roll your eyes at me darling xx

Or rewrite as "This book is dedicated to Margaret Thatcher, God and my parents." Don't think I'll bother with that book though.

While we're on the subject:

Not a great song, but the video's quite good in a whimsical, Wes Anderson sort of way.

Do you think it should be:
"Neither of the sentences are wrong"
or
"Neither of the sentences is wrong"?

In formal usage, it should definitely be is:

"Neither of these options is available.
This is the traditional rule (iirc, Fowler’s discusses this at length). However, in colloquial usage, either option is fine, and are seems to now be somewhat more common, at least on teh internets. A commenter here nicely describes the sort of thought process which probably pushes people (usually subconsciously) towards using are:"
