The 27-year-old scored 10 Premier League goals in 23 appearances for the Hammers during the 2014-15 season, but an injury-plagued couple of years has seen the forward appear in just six league matches since the start of last season.

Palace are seeking competition for Christian Benteke in the final third of the field.

He isn't someone you'd want to rely on every game but he would do a job and score the occasional goal. He's a good finisher. For me, I'd rate him similar to Ahmed Musa and either of them would be glorious signings for us.

Sure, similar kind of role. But Sakho is a good striker, that's the difference!
