Tommy Elphick just signed for Aston Villa for £3 million. 2 thoughts - firstly did BHAFC put in a sell on clause for a decent percentage sell on, after they sold to Bmth 3 years ago - would be a tidy sum if they did.

I know nothing about whether we do our don't have a sell on clause for Elphick, but I know for a fact we have a huge sell on clause deal for Cook :)

Think you are reinventing history here a bit. He had been out injured for a year, had at least 3 players deservedly in front of him.

I'd say Gus did him a favour by letting him go

Out of all the local lads like Mayo,Dunk,Virgo,El -Abd etc Elphick was my favorite. Really nice bloke to talk to.

The only surprise was the fee we received but as he had been out seriously injured it was always a chance he wouldn't come back to what he was so perhaps understandable. Even then it was good profit on a youngster who came through the ranks.

Based on what? A % sell on clause is often a given with young player sales these days - Shrewsbury will have one with us for Goldson for example undoubtedly...
