He used to be a proper journo, now he just peddles in sensationalism.
He's part of the problem in my opinion.
I like listening to Vine and K.Bruce. They also both play great tracks from the new wave and other eras.
I never listen to the noisy, crap Evans. Excitable high decibels, fake upbeat, awful diction and he's surrounded by his equally twatish mates.

Agree that before he got the R2 gig he used to deputise for Paxo on Newsnight and was actually a grown-up Journalist.
He clearly has a brief in this show to attract as many gobshites as possible to call in. Unlistenable.
True, the Radio2 controller and producer have set it up as that kind of show. When Vine's on holiday, it's exactly the same format.
