We all know we haven't been exactly prolific on the road this season but noticed a very desperate stat after last night's game. We have only scored two goals in the 2nd half of Prem games this season and the only one from open play was Solly's header against Bournemouth back in September (the other being Glen's pen at West Ham).
So the leave early brigade haven't had much to worry about this season:wink:

Well, we've got the Summer to try to put that right with some astute signings and getting more guys into the box when we kick off the new season. There are often not enough of our players there to take advantage of knock-downs. rebounds, etc. Having said that, more clinical finishing would be good!

Hardly anyone leaves early when we’re away...........everyone stays to make sure the whole squad acknowledges the away support, so they can then jump online and document their outrage when it doesn’t happen........

We've not been competitive enough away from home this season, we have picked up crucial points at West Ham and Swansea, and the draws with Stoke (fortunate as it was) and Newcastle were very important as well. But we've too often taken a day off in away games, Huddersfield and West Brom (we were the only mugs beaten by Pardew's West Brom team, let that sink in) and that's the main thing which needs to change next season.

Burnley only won once away from home all season when they were first promoted back into the league, and look at them this season. There's no reason why we shouldn't be able to replicate that type of success next season with another summer of investment and stability off the pitch.

Last night’s goal from Leo was our first away goal against a top 10 team. Hopefully we’ll be a bit more adventurous next season but let’s not forget that we achieved our target this season with a bit to spare.
