Is he one of your picks? Haha. John O'Shea has had a good career. Him and Wes Brown have made a good move going to Sunderland. Again, I'd have O'Shea over a lot of defenders drafted. Will be interesting to see everyone's teams and to also see who has made the elevens from picks 12 to 16.

I think whoever's team he happens to be in should win this and its just purely co-incidental it happens to be mine - honest

-------------------------------------------

I have been trying to put together a squad with no obvious weak links in it and therefore isn't really affected too much if someone was to get injured or suspended (as will happen over the course of a season) and to have a squad which, when fully available would cause a manager a nice selection headache. My team should be able to line up in different formations too and still be very strong (as should everyones i guess)

It will be interesting to see everyones teams once they are all finished and i hope those who have dropped behind with their picks will also catch up and complete their line ups

This game is great when people are arguing over players like O'Shea :lolol:

I'm getting passionate about it now i have my 16. I actually don't mind O'Shea. Opinions on football players are always fuel to a thread.

Knew it! You were defending him far to fiercely for him not to be your's.

I share your sentiment about formation. I have chosen the definition of wing backs in Riise and Valencia so I can change from 442 to 352 easily. I like to think my bench will provide competition to my XI too.

Need a player with over 200 appearances, so I've gone for somebody who can play on either wing, has 300+ appearances and scored one of the greatest goals of the Premier League era (Although it wasn't actually in the Premier League)

Trevor Sinclair.

I'm rounding out my team with a bit of pace out wide from the bench, which would also allow more variety in formations. He's also played with Bale plenty of times so would be able to easily work with him.

AARON LENNON

I've got serious doubts as to whether I've managed to meet the criteria, I need to sit down and have a proper look at it but I think I might have cocked up spectacularly :(

Have you not been keeping track of who can fit where? A rookie error.

Not particularly, I kind of lost my way at about the half way point, I think my final pick may have been the nail in the coffin.

Edit. Is it too late to change my last pick? The player I want is still available?

If you can't fit them all in to categories then feel free to change your pick at the end of the draft. Think that's the fair way of doing it.

Wow last pick :( thanks everyone it's been a lot of fun, infuriating at times but some great names have been dragged up from the past!! Special thanks to Guy Fawkes for keeping that list updated so I did not have to read through the entire thread when thinking of a random name at 3am.

Just the sub goalkeeper to go.

Last week I thought of a keeper who would win the draft pick on his own, a man who would guarantee I win the tournament, a man no Brighton fan could vote against, the keeper who made the greatest save of all.....HE SAVED THE ALBION!

Gentleman I give you....Mark Beeney!

Unfortunately seven days and sleepless nights later I can unhappily confirm he fits not one sodding category so I am stuck with the man Guy Fawkes will affectionately call Green Rob, it's....Rob Green!!

That's it, the boys and I are on the next ferry to Longford for some pre tournament bonding!!

Right, I'm going to sneak in and make my last pick. Muchos Gracias to MattBackHome stepping in for me. I'm not sure how I managed to not see Paul Robinson's name on the already picked list but I did so I'm left with a goalkeeper as my final pick.

I'm going to go for a keeper who has been one of the most consistent in the premier league over since becoming a regular in the 2011/12 season. He's a big dominant presence in the box and has remendous reflexes. He poses a goal threat to boot having scored against southampton last season. Gents, I give you pick sixteen of Team GNLF:

Asmir Begovic
